Sunday afternoon, 2.10pm
"Browsing the 'Comment is Free' section to check out current discussion topics.
The comment topic shows up, but when clicked, links to a completely different story from the Lifestyle section about the world's top 10 beaches? Sunday glitch in the matrix...
Can't seem to access the story I want, so decided to go to the 'Culture' section instead. Stories here turned up fine.
I like being able to catch up on older stories (downloaded from previous days) which I didn't have time to read earlier this week."

Saturday morning, 11.40am
"I’m bored and would rather read the news than to do any work.
I like being able to click on embedded links within articles and being directed to an earlier, related report from the archive."

"Browsing stories to kill some in-stransit waiting time.
I like how the 'Tags' feature - it's a good way of browsing for articles topically."

Thursday afternoon, 4.20pm
"Looking at the 'UK in Pictures' section. The amount of time it takes to ‘fetch galleries’ continues to be discouraging – I gave up before any gallery could be loaded. Not an app I’d bother to use to access quick info while strolling."

"The app very useful for sit-down journey-time reading.

The layout and interface makes it fairly painless selecting headlines and images that interest me."

In the garden

Monday, 15 August 2011

Monday afternoon, 1.30pm
"Checking the day's top stories.
It’s taking too long to ‘fetch articles’ (about 3-5 mins on average). This is the same reason why I’d uninstalled my Guardian app earlier this year.
My download preferences are set to receive scheduled updates for the app, though the poor wifi signal in my area is probably to blame."
